Friendly staff and nice views on gondola ride
Great day out. Perfect for families and lots of things for little kids to enjoy. There is a little pump track so if you have kids take their balance bikes up with you so they can have a go while you enjoy a coffee at the cafe.
Great half day excursion from Wanaka or Queenstown. Lovely views from the top, easy walking.
Kia ora Laura, I'm stoked to hear you had a lovely time exploring our walking trails at the top. Hope to have you back to our mountain in the future. Regards, Nat Cardrona Alpine Resort
Kids enjoyed going up in the gondola and discovering the swing. Patches of snow still remained in December so was nice to see. I did the walk to the top and had wonderful views. The only thing was the start of the different tracks weren't marked so had to find my way onto the summit track. From there it was easy to follow the blue marked pegs.
Kia Ora Sharon, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review and for your feedback regarding the trails. I'm stoked to hear you had an awesome time out there and the kids had fun on the swing! Even on a cloudy day it's pretty special up there. We hope to welcome you back to Cardrona at some stage in the future. Regards, Julia Cardrona x Treble Cone

Beautiful views, good coffee
The 12km access road is probably terrifying to people who booked this not realising they would have to drive it. The actual gondola ride is much shorter than the distance you cover yourself and the windows are very scratched so there is no view except when you are outside on the top. I agree therefore with the word hiking, but sightseeing and walking are pushing it. The walking track gets steep and narrow very quickly. It's a nice place for some people watching and photos but at full price it would possibly be the most expensive gondola per metre in NZ.
