Waka Ama Lesson is a unique experience which combines adventure, cultural awareness, and a work-out!

We start the experience with an on-shore lesson from our instructors. Once everyone is comfortable we take it off shore and take in the breathtaking views of Pilot Bay from the water. Navigating the waka ama will take quite the team-work but it's guaranteed for a fun adventure. On top of that, you'll get introduced to the history and cultural significance of waka ama.

Always with the guidance of an experienced waka ama steerer, you will learn the techniques and rhythm and flow of thispart of culture!

Notes

  • Please note:A moderate level of fitness is required to participate. There will be a safe space to leave belongings at your own risk while you paddle. All of service activities are dependent on the weather conditions. The operator cannot control the weather, so in the event of a session being modified due to adverse weather, the session may be relocated, postponed, or cancelled. Participants will be notified by mobile phone, or email if no mobile phone number is provided, 30-60 minutes before the session of any changes.
