- Catch the ferry to Devonport and make the most of Free Child Weekend Fares. Children aged 5 to 15 years can now travel to Devonport for free on weekends and public holidays when they use their own AT HOP cards.
Get clues, solve puzzles and search for the answers while you are being guided around top sightseeing locations. It's the perfect outdoor activity for families and fun for everyone. As this is an outdoor activity in public spaces, children must be always accompanied.
There are three Kloozo Quests to choose from ranging in time from approximately 1 hr to 2.5 hrs. All quests are the same price for groups of 2 - 6 players.
Devonport Village Quest - based around the waterfront and is the easiest challenge with no hills to climb. The Devonport waterfront boasts some of the best views of the Auckland skyline and after you have finished your game you can have a picnic in the park or treat yourself at one of the local cafes.
Difficulty: Easy
Distance: 2.3km
Time: 1 - 1.5 hrs
Challenges: 18
Takarunga / Mount Victoria Quest - a more challenging route that includes a walk to the summit of Takarunga / Mt Victoria where you will see one of the best views of Tamaki Makaurau. This quest takes you off the beaten track and through some of the oldest backstreets in historic Devonport. You will find a missing volcano and discover the home of Auckland's biggest ice creams!
Difficulty: Moderate
Distance: 4.2km
Time: 1.5 - 2 hrs
Challenges: 24
Maungauika / North Head Quest - a more challenging route that includes a walk to the summit of Maungauika / North Head where you will explore old military fortifications including tunnels and gun batteries! If you are adventurous, this is the quest for you!
Difficulty: Moderate
Distance: 5.5km
Time: 2 - 3 hrs
Challenges: 23
If you want to up the ante, you can race other teams! Just buy a ticket/code for each team and Kloozo will record the times for each team to complete your quests. The team that finishes in the fastest time is the winner!
Of course, you can just take your time and enjoy your quest without racing. At every place of interest, you can hit the pause button, take in the sites and explore the area at your leisure.

What an amazing experience! We had so much fun. The view is fantastic. I can't express what it is like to actually visit a place from a world famous movie. Surreal... Definitely a must see.

Great family fun
Lots of opportunities to pause the game and explore the surrounding area. Kid friendly even with the walking involved. We were a bit disappointed with the amount of overlap with the Devonport Kloozo at the start and end of this adventure (our 5 and 7 year olds recognised we were doing some of the same clues) but it was enjoyable all the same!

Exploring Devonport
Such a fun way to explore Devonport. The ice cream store is at exactly the right point where the kids motivation is beginning to dwindle. Highly recommend.
