Confinement Hamilton offers a range of exciting escape rooms and outdoor scavenger hunts, perfect for those who enjoy problem-solving games. These activities are also great options for corporate teambuilding, birthday parties, and stag or hen dos. Located in Central Hamilton, Confinement Hamilton is the first Escape Room in New Zealand to achieve a Qualmark certification.

Confinement’s fantastic Escape Rooms have regularly changing clues, so you can come back again and again for a fresh new challenge every time. Get your team together and put your detective hats on to see if you can solve the clues and puzzles within 60 minutes and escape the room!

Storyline: You are paranormal investigators secretly contacted by the staff of the Murdoch Hotel. They believe that one of the rooms is haunted. The floor has been closed off by the manager, restricting access for both staff and guests. With the manager out of the building for the next hour, you must move quickly to uncover the truth and confront the horrors within.

Restrictions

  • Minimum age: 5

  • Youth and Child tickets must be purchased with an Adult ticket, as Youth and Children must be accompanied by an Adult for the Escape Rooms.

Notes

  • All rooms can accommodate 2-8 players, please arrive at your booking time,

    All rooms can have players 5 years old and over, so long as there is at least one player in the room who is 14 years and older. No children under 5 years old are permitted access to the Escape Rooms, for Health & Safety reasons.

    If you run out of time to complete the Escape Room, a staff member will let you out and you will be invited to come back and try the room again on another day.

    Feeling locked in or claustrophobic? No need to worry, the Escape Rooms are big and there are no extremely small spaces, and the entry door is unlocked for you to leave if you feel uncomfortable or need a toilet break.

Great fun

A good challenge to solve. We had 5 members but, at times, clues were being solved without the whole team. I would recommend groups of three or four. Interpreting the written clues and searching for collections between the clues and the spaces you have opened at essential. We had an enjoyable time and talked about the experience afterwards.
