Do you, or someone you know, have a love of flying? Want the ultimate gliding experience? Take things to the next level and experience a full day in the life of a pilot with our in-depth, instructional gliding programme!

Alongside the opportunity to fly a glider, the course covers everything you need to know about being a pilot; including briefings, primary gliding exercises, a visit to the winch, ground operations, and airfield safety!

Our groups consist of no more than 3 students per expert instructor, allowing for ample one-on-one attention and plenty of opportunity to ask the instructors and club members questions.

Put your newfound knowledge into practice as you take to the skies with your instructor, flying over the beautiful Wairarapa countryside, before taking over the controls and flying the glider plane yourself - you'll receive 1 hour in the air, or 3 winch launches, whichever comes first. After this, you'll be given a copy of our intensive training programme and a record of your flight details.

The entire experience is intensive, yet highly rewarding and exciting! At the end of the day, you'll receive a certificate (giving you ultimate bragging rights), and your passion for flying will surely be ignited!

What's included

An hour's flight time, or 3 winch launches, whatever comes first.
An experienced pilot on-board.
Full instructional safety briefing.
An introduction to all aspects of airfield operations, from the launch point to a visit to the winch.

14 years and over. A weight limit minimum of 45kg and a maximum of 110 kg applies per person. Please note for safety reasons this is not suitable for those with Epilepsy.
