Ebikes are the ultimate way to experience the beauty of Queenstown! Our shop is based in Frankton, close to the BP station (10mins from Queenstown town centre).
We had a great day out...cycled from Frankton to Arrowtown..amazing scenery and a good cycle was rewarded with a pint at the Fork and Tap in Arrowtown... Friendly and helpful staff at the bike shop...a god choice
Right from when we walked into the shop, Joe made us feel welcoming and helped us with the ebikes we had paid for online. Parking was limited to 3 hours and he gave us a special ticket to display on our dashboard for longer... thanks. Bikes were great and were easy to ride.
The bikes weren't clean on pick up and we were advised it would take 3.5 hours to do a round trip to Gibbson Valley (with x2 kids in tow) When we got to Gibbson Valley 2 of our ebikes were already on 2 bars... i was concerned we would not make it back to town so i called and they assured me that they had been fully charged and if we needed pick up that would be an extra $25. Considering the other 2 bikes were on 4 bars and had been used on turbo vs the other bikes my husband and i were on, 2 bars and used conservatively it didn't make sense. LUCKILY some friends were at the winery and dropped us off in Arrowtown as i was worried we wouldn't make it back - x2 bikes ran out of power just as we got to town. We dropped bikes off before the closing time to find the shop closed and a note to leave bikes locked up. No one had bothered to call us to check if we did in fact need a pick up. Customer service was completely missing here and would not recommend.
Hi Sarah, I am very sorry you had a bad experience with us. Firstly, the bikes had some dust on them but they were not muddy or dirty. It hasn't been raining in a while and the trails are very dusty. Secondly, I am very sorry we didn't mention that it was a 3.5h trip, we usually say to customers that it is a 70 km trip. About the batteries, the bikes are always fully charged and we check that when we give them to customers, what I think it happened is that you use the top assistance for too long and the range got reduced. We never had a client with a flat battery before. When you called I gave you the option to pick you up you didn't want it so I don't know what were you expecting us to do... We ALWAYS close at 5 pm but we give customers the freedom to drop off the bikes by 6 pm so you don't have to come back in a rush, if you didn't call back by 5 pm saying you needed help we supposed everything was fine. Again, I am sorry you had a bad experience but I am aware of the great customer service that our team offer.

Down the Gibbston Valley
Great and friendly service. Bikes were good and retained their charge over a 70 km ride. We had an unfortunate breakdown that was no one’s fault and the shop mechanic came out to us within 30 mins and swapped the bike. We had a great day out.
