Experience the thrill of River Rafting on the Waiau Gorge with Amuri Alpine Rafting!
Your adventure begins when you depart from the Amuri river base and head downstream on a scenic trip through the stunning Waiau Gorge.
Be in awe of the dazzling landscape that surrounds you as you float on this pristine river and keep an eye out for trout that may be feeding beneath you.
There will be the opportunity for a swim and to jump off rocks into the Waiau’s crystal clear waters (weather dependant) or you can simply relax and take in the outstanding scenery as you float downstream.
Next up is an adrenalin-pumping ride through the Waiau’s Grade 2 rapids…full on fun for all the family!
The finale of the trip will be an exciting journey by jet boat back to the Amuri river base.

Family fun
Had a blast on the raft trip and enjoyed the jetboat ride back. Good for all ages, our group was 12-75yrs.

Fantastic experience
We had heaps of fun on the river, rafting and the jet boat ride was a highlight of our holiday.

Loads of fun despite the weather!
We had two very hot days in Hanmer beforehand but by the time we got to rafting it was really windy and cold. Despite this, myself and two kids (13 and 10) had a blast with Darryl and Luke. Both kids had a great confidence boost leaping off the high point of jump rock. A great fun pair of guys and we felt really looked after.

Jawdropping Views
Rafting was cancelled due to weather and ended up going on the buggy/ quad bikes - really loved the views! Great family activity! Staff were really helpful too

Rafting and jetboat
Amazing guide, great relaxed feel to the whole day. Experience was awesome and jetboat ride was a hoot! The staff made the Experience even better. Would definitely recommend and will be back
