If you are in Fiji, you will have to do this tour. Its really an awakening experience and one to remember when you go home to your city lifestyle. The humble homes and the hardworking fijian will be a memory to last forever. Its a long long day if you are staying at Denarau so be prepared to rest well sleep well and dont get hung over for the tour.

The weather was very rainy, until we got to the island. The greeting was great, the facility kept us dry while the rain finished, plenty of seating. The performance was very cool, especially the end. The meat was dry, but the gravy helped. I’m sure that is due to the lovo style cooking. Overall experience was great.

The day tour was amazing so we decided to upgrade to the combo tour at resort reception. And night show is the super super super amazing. Photos cannot do any justice. Village tour is very authentic experience, it isn't commercialised. Amazing to see and know about Fijian tradition and their life. If it is possible, bring something for school kids as they are so greatful for so little. Got to know about Fijian tradition herbs and medicine during the nature walk, had coconut picked from the tree and opened for us. Fire dance in the night show is once in a life time experience!! Big vinaka to all staffs especially Baka and Thinny. They are so lovely and passionate. We didn't want to leave.

What an adventure! We were picked up from our hotel and transported to a jetty where a boat collected us. We cruised down the river mouth until we hit the ocean onto a stunning Island just as the sun set. We were greeted with music and song. We briefly sat for an introduction on where the course of the night will take us. Lead to the beach where a giant bonfire was lit and a group participation of singing occured. We were shown the Lovo out where our food was cooked and treated to a display of walking on hot coals. After dinner which was Lovo (earth oven), a feast that was so delicious! We then witnessed a fire dancing show. Never have we seen such a great feat of dancing and danger. The whole night was fabulous! The show was truly amazing and the performers were fantastic.

Well to start I'll just say it wasn't essentially what is described in the summary on here but we had a really good time. We were picked up promptly in a nice bus and taken to the port, from the port you are picked up in a small barge (Not the boat in these photos) and taken to the island. The food and the show there were incredible however. Really good atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and the show performers were like nothing I've ever seen before :)) Would definitely recommend but a far better description is needed.

We had a great night, food, music and dancing was brilliant.

We recently did the day cruise and Dinner Cruise while in Fiji, they were similar but different, if they make sense. The entertainment was fantastic,food was beautiful and stacks of, the people are the happiest and friendliest people you would ever find. The dinner cruise was magnificent as being night time the entertainment was done with fire dancing, loved the grand finally on the beach. Love, love loved it. Thankyou.

Me and my gf only spend a day at the island, a lot of activities and the staff very helpful and nice, if anyone have a chance better stay overnight, we so happy after visit this island , this is a must when you come to Fiji :))

Friendly and informative staff who are always there to help and explain. Loved that kokoda cooking demonstration, lovo lunch and the dance show (one of the best we saw during our trip and last for almost 30 mins too!) The island is pretty small and the beach isn’t impressive tho.

Loved every moment of it. We didn’t get to snorkel much due to the whether but a dip in the ocean was so refreshing.

Absolutely loved this experience. The cruise along the river as the sun was setting was magical. The island experience was excellent. The Lovo was delicious and show was awesome. The return cruise was guided by the moonlight and added to the magic of the night. Highly recommend this trip!

The highlight of the tour was the cultural dance and the coconut fudge was yummy..aside from that everything else was a bit of ?.

There's a good variety of activities that you can choose to participate in or just kick back and enjoy relaxing on the beach or go swimming. We loved the kokoda making, the lovo was delicious and a lot of fun was had with the crab race. We travelled with a 3yr old and almost 2 yr old and they had such a great day. The staff are wonderful. Take some cash so you can buy a few beers and maybe an ice block if you've got little ones. The only thing to factor in is travel time, from the coral coast it's about 1.5hrs on the bus and then the boat trip out is more like 40 minutes. Vinaka

It was true value for money! They performed hard dance despite of rain and storm. They valued customer. Fire works in dance was really good. I would recommend for sunset tour.

My family and I had a fantastic night, beautiful scenic views on our boat ride to the island, warm welcome to the island from the locals, Kava ceromony and tasting, delicious Lovo dinner and an absolutely amazing fire, knife and dance show. This tour is an absolute must in Fiji.

Easy to book cruise online. Bale our tour guide was at the i-information at Port Denarau and she answered all my questions. Hotel pickup-drop off was great in a flash, air-con coach. Ride to the jetty was about 40mins (incl 1 stop). Cute boats took us on the river cruise as the sunset. Be prepared to get your feet wet as you disembark the boat. Entertainment was great?Food was plentiful. Range of drinks was good, although no bourbon. Only thing to improve: toilets at the jetty didn’t flush and toilets on the island.

The whole process from booking the trip to getting there and enjoying the adventure was wonderful. Staff were friendly and nice. A bonus is the fact that they give you water and your very own sarong! It shows they are thinking of you and you are catered for the whole time. Will definitely try it again.

Such a fun and heart warming place experience for all ages. Fijian people are spectacular! We went to Tuva Villiage and had Freddie as our jet boat driver! He was great, as was GI Joe our bus driver. Brilliant experience!

Totally recommend this trip. The jetboat was fun with also.learning about the history of the area. Visiting the village was special. The kava, lunch and entertainment was awesome. Captain Laps made the day!

My husband and I did this day trip while in Fiji this week. We were based in Denerau and got picked up and transferred to Sigatoka. It was great to see a different part of Fiji not connected with Denerau - the "real Fiji". After signing in and collecting a sarong for myself (ladies are required to wear these in the local village" we boarded our jet boat for an awesome ride up the Sigatoka river. Captain Leps was very helpful, informative and entertaining. Happy to answer any questions that we had about the Fijian life. We arrived at our village and were welcomed by a traditional ceremony and had some kava. We then enjoed a lovely lunch - Fijian style - sitting on the floor. After lunch there was music and we danced with the locals. It was a wonderful experience and we felt very privelged to be sharing some time with the locals. We then left the village and proceeded back up the river to the jetty. Along the way Captain Leps did five 260 degrees spins in the boat which was awesome. We had our photos taken and were able to purchase these as a momento of the day. We then stopped back at Sigatoka Town to purchase some souvenirs. A wonderful day and truly a highlight of our Fijian holiday. I strongly recommend that you do this trip - it was awesome!!

What a mix of fun, excitement and culture. Who said it couldn't be done? Both adults and kids will love it. Nothing beats an exhilarating, super-fast jet boat ride up the winding Sigatoka River. And the genuine cultural experience you receive from the remote village they visit will amaze you. Nothing like any other village visit I have done. This is the genuine, real deal. But be prepared to get soaked wet on the way back when the driver starts doing 360s. (bring a change of clothes) That's all part of the fun. A well run and organised day out! It was an experience I will never forget. Plenty of jet boating, our driver Finny was amazing. She answered all questions and had some great local knowledge to share and stories to tell. Village experience was incredible, welcoming and eye opening. Would definitely do it again!

What an amazing experience. Really great to see and show our kids a bit more of the real/authentic Fiji. The staff were great, very friendly and welcoming. The scenery.....awesome. The history of the river and locals was also great The village we visited was very very basic, as we knew it would be, just so you know what to expect. The welcome ceremony, singing, dancing and food were great. Our village had a preschool which we asked to visit. Such happy smiling faces. Not that you need to but I would encourage people to take some small practical gifts eg pencils, school/colouring books etc which are very cheap in our countries. The look of pure happiness on their little faces will always stay with us and has encouraged us to somehow help more. After a few “Sigatoka spins” we returned to the boating headquarters where we met Jay, as in the Jay from the brochure!!! He was one of the people that started the business!!! I thought that was pretty cool, nice to see boss on the frontline. As you can probably gather this trip is well worth it. Couldn’t recommend it more. Lastly a big thank you to our only female boat captain. She was fantastic

My family of 4 adults thoroughly enjoyed this experience, first an informative scenic bus ride to the jet boat locations then a joyous jet boat ride down the river, stopping at a few places along the way where Noxs our jet boat driver informed us of the old Fiji ways and how they become how they are today. Then we visited a village along the river and were welcome with open arms. We joined in with their traditional Kava ceremony welcome, they had provided us with a banquet lunch then we enjoy the entertainment and dancing with the villagers. On the way back we enjoyed 360 turn in the jet boat. This was an amazing experience and a must do while in Fiji.

Fabulous Freddy is the MAN! We had an awesome jet boat experience. So much fun, and what a skilled captain. Visit to the village was amazing, great to really learn first hand about the Fijian culture. Lunch was delicious! Wish we would have brought more gifts to the villagers. Fantastic excursion, so worth the money. GI Joe was a terrific driver, too. Clean vans for transportation.

A fun filled 1/2 day on a jet boat and visiting a local village. Lunch was good. Traditional food. The operators were friendly and fun. The kids walked back to the boat with us. Great day. Will remember forever!!

Our Sigatoka River experience was an amazing day! From the pick-up to drop-off, we can't fault any of it. The lunch was great and experiencing the culture was unforgettable. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone!
