Village & Mud Bath Tour - Half Day

4.5
2
An introduction to village life and etiquette, Nadi markets, school visit and bathe in thermal mud pools.

Begin your half-day adventure with an introduction of village life and etiquette that will be useful on this tour. Your guide will then take you to the Nadi Market to experience the local way of shopping and selecting Yaqona to later present to the Village elder. Enjoy some local fresh fruits (optional) as you walk through the market.

After passing the Nadi temple and The Sleeping Giant, you progress to Sabeto Village for an introduction to the Fijian way of life, that combines modern lifestyle with local tradition. Visit the school and be welcomed into a classroom (seasonal) while discovering the village.

Then onto the thermal mud pools, for a relaxing bathe in its naturally restorative properties. Not to mention it’s loads of fun!

It is recommended to cover your shoulders and dress modestly for village etiquette (we provide sulus for the adults). Apply sun screen before you depart as it is considered impolite to wear sunglasses and hats whilst in the village.

What to Bring:

  • Towel
  • Swimwear / change of clothes
  • Optional cash for the market, or for local handicrafts
  • Bottled water is provided throughout your tour.

    Village & Mud Bath Tour

A good chance to see the 'real' Fiji away from the resorts. Our party of 7 really enjoyed the experience, mud and all. Max was an excellent driver & guide. Highly recommend.

    Enjoyable tour

A slice of the real Fiji, away from the big hotels and tourist traps. An enjoyable morning out, loved the school visit in particular. Mud baths were fun although ground and one of the pools scorching hot. Loved chatting with the local ladies at the sales tables there and prefer spending with them than the tourist shops as the money stays local. Some of the same items sold elsewhere for double/triple the price.
