The trip can take anywhere between 1.5 – 3 hours depending on fitness levels and how long you are wanting to spend on the water.
An absolute must do for lovers of nature, wildlife and the outdoors and a simply stunning way to see Dunedin!
Location:
830 Harington Point Rd, Portobello, Otakou 9077, New Zealand.
How to get to us:
From Dunedin drive towards Taiaroa Head, past Portobello and you will see us on your right beside Eden Café, 2 km before Taiaroa Heads.
We had a great trip with the guys from Eden Wildlife Cruises. We saw wildlife such as seelions, penguins and albatrosses from real close and had a lot of fun kayaking along the shore of Otago Peninsula.
Seal swimming next to our kayak, unbeatable
I think the kayak is the best way to see seals, sea lions and pinguins ! It wasn’t a windy day so we saw only 2 albatross (and they were far from us). Anyway, it’s was amazing ! The seals were friendly and not scared by us, it was funny! Our guide was really nice and professional.
The Staff was really professional and we enjoyed the whole history behind this amazing center. You really get a stunning insight into the life of these little penguins! It was awesome!
