Travel the boundary of the Otago Harbour, departing from Dunedin’s legendary downtown railway station. The Otago coastline is a stunning and wild example of New Zealand scenery, you’ll cruise around the edge of the harbour before gently climbing the slopes over Port Chalmers - a picturesque port village.

From there you arrive into the incredible Blueskin Bay, with non-stop views over glistening bays and inlets, before reaching the town of Palmerston. Your train then heads through farm land and further dazzling coast into Moeraki Boulders for a brief stop, before continuing onto Oamaru.

You will have one hour to enjoy in Oamaru, with the train stopping mere minutes from town highlights such as Steampunk HQ and the Farmers Market (open on Sundays).
