Thank you so much for taking the time to review us following your visit to the Park Brandon. We are delighted you had such a great day out!
This is the place to go to get up close and personal with wildlife. The keepers are friendly and knowledgeable and you can get so close to the animals. On my visit all the big cats - tiger, Lions and cheetahs were so close and you had the chance to take great photos. The gorillas were outside playing and the lemurs and meerkats were cheeky as usual.
Thank you very much for your review Wendy, we are thrilled you were able to get up close to so many of our amazing animals and hope to see you again!
Awesome brought back memories from when I went as a child loved the feeding of giraffes and lions
Thank you so much for your review Marie! We are delighted that you loved feeding the giraffe and seeing the lions fed!
We were saddened to see how sad the gorilla , lions and tiger were. Surely more enrichment would do them good. The farmyard was a sad experience too. The otters enclosure was dirty. There were no monkeys, Zebra or Tasmanian devils visible. The grounds themselves could do with a lot more planting, new bright signs and imagination. We loved feeding the giraffes. We hope that Orana receives funding to make the animals lives better and to breath life back into this potentially amazing park.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review following your visit to the Park Annikah. Naturally, we are disappointed to hear the Park did not meet your expectations. Orana is set on 80 hectares and is home to over 90 different species of animals. The balance we aim to achieve in an open range setting is displaying animals in spacious exhibits whilst also not having visitors peer at specks in the distance. Over the years, we have worked hard to develop a range of interesting scheduled daily animal feed presentations enabling visitors to view our animals up close and to interact with the keepers during their public talks. We encourage visitors to follow this schedule to ensure they get the most out of their visit. Orana Wildlife Park is a registered charitable trust and not-for-profit organization. We heavily rely on gate takings to operate and in fact, over 60% of our income is derived from gate sales, so we thank you for visiting. Your support goes directly back into the Park and allows us to continue our conservation work, such as breeding kākāriki karaka for release to the wild. Thank you again for your feedback. We hope you will consider visiting us again.
We really enjoyed our time at the Orana Wildlife Park - we visited on a week day in the morning so it was nice and quiet. We were lucky to arrive just before one of the tours around the park was about to leave, which is a nice intro to the layout. We didn't realise we'd end up spending over 4 hours there just having a look around and watching the staff/volunteers feeding the different animals. There is lots of walking involved as the park is quite large and spread out. Lots of open space for people to sit down and relax etc. The cafe food was reasonable but not amazing. The inside of the cafe can get very loud and busy with children, even on a weekend.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review Luca, we are pleased you had such a nice day at the Park and enjoyed taking our shuttle around the Park. Thanks so much for visiting, we hope to see you again :)
