This experience is 60 minutes of true New Zealand jet boating through the Waimakariri River canyon, nestled in the foothills of Canterbury’s high country!
This is where jet boating was first developed for the world… the true home of jet boating. This is real back country where the only access is on foot, in our jet boat or chopper. Each stop will highlight the remoteness of this region and all under an hour from Christchurch.
Breathtaking alpine scenery is complimented with expert commentary from our drivers about an area rich in history, from the Tranz Alpine Railway tracking through the gorge to changing nature of a river influenced by the mountains of the divide between east and west. You’ll venture deep into the mountains and be immersed in spectacular scenery and uncover the story of how early pioneer jet boaters first explored upstream in an experience of a lifetime.
The Jet Boat experience includes great photo opportunities along with the famous Hamilton Spins, adventure out on a Canyon Safari ride with family and friends!

Scenery, excitement, a super guide
From the first hello and the walk through the collection of antiques, thru a great ride, to a fascinating chat about jet boat racing, the whole experience was 5 stars The ride was exhilarating, the scenery breathtaking, and the snippets of history and geology fascinating.

Amazing Experience!
We had a Sunday midday trip and we were the only ones on the boat! This company is great they will take a trip no matter how many customers are on the trip. We had Mark as our driver and he was awesome. Very knowledgeable, took photos for us and he was great to chat to. I would highly recommend this experience, it exceeded expectations! Thanks guys! Best day out ever!
The boys were wonderful, they were so informative while making the whole experience fun. Pretty sure I learnt more about Canterbury on the boat trip than I did my whole time at school. I would recommend that everyone treat themselves to an hours boat ride, you won't regret it.
