racheljingyiy said... Our Hobbiton Movie Set Tour began at 6.30am where we received a warm welcome by our driver and guide Warren (who also joked about us being 5 ft tall hobbits). The drive from Auckland to Matamata was comfortable and relaxing. Our guide was really knowledgeable and kept us entertained throughout with fun facts about New Zealand. The 2-hr Hobbiton guided tour was however, too short and felt quite rushed as there was hardly sufficient time for us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the movie set. During the drive back, we stopped by Lake Karapiro for some photos and also Pokeno for some ice cream. Overall, a wonderful and memorable experience! Many thanks to Auckland & Beyond Tours as well as our amazing guide Warren! :)
