Art, hike and views forever

Well organized hike on the coastal cliffs to view about 30 art installations. Bus to start of hike and optional bus or walk back to Matiatia. Rest stops and shade available, water supplied along the way. Only negative was social distancing not possible on bus and crowds on the trail sometimes not respectful of distancing.

Waiheke sculpture on the gulf

A wonderful opportunity to cross over the cliffs and garden edges of beautiful properties to view great sculptures and environmental statements on Waiheke as well as beautiful coastal scenery. A chance to view works not normally available for the general public to enjoy. Thanks to the volunteers who help make this happen.

Worth it!

This was a lovely day out on Waihek. Hugely appreciate that the organisation, volunteers and shuttle buses were so dog friendly so we can bring our dog for the day out too, starting with the ferry from Auckland. The vistas from the coastline are perfection. We are coming back next year for this event but next time we may stay longer than just a day trip so we can explore more of the island.

Amazing sculptures in a superb setting

We went early on a Friday morning and we’re also able to take our dog too which was great. The view on the trail out to Auckland was beautiful as well as the art we saw. Would definitely go again.
