A fantastic way to explore Auckland’s west coast paradise!
Such an amazing option to escape from the busy city life. We got to see falls, a kauri forest and of course, the beautiful Piha beach. Jo, the operator, is very friendly and positive and makes the activity feel more like a family trip rather than a typical tour. The tour combines an enjoyable amount of hiking and also time to relax at the beach. Definitely recommended for everyone!
The company never showed up, I had my tour at 9am, I arrived at 8:40am to be on time and nobody came, their cellphone was off, so I sent them an email and the reply was that they were unsure about how I booked this tour....... oh boy! So, after one hour of hanging out with the homeless outside the Base, I came back home to watch Piha on Youtube. Pretty Cool, aye?
Perfect day trip for about 7 hours. The tour visits several scenic spots in the region. We did a waterfall in addition to the short track near it first. You get enough hours to soak your body in water once you get there. After that we did a loop track which gives the gorgeous view of Piha beach and the mountain range from the top. Lastly we went down to the beach and got about 2 hours to do what you like at one of the most beautiful beach in NZ. Was simply an amazing day and must do if you have multiple days in Auckland.

A Trip I'll Never Forget nor Regret!
I had so much fun in this trip. Initially, I was a bit off when Mike moved my tour schedule from 9am to 1130am with just a short notice like only 2 hours prior. I woke up early and could not sleep again. However, when my tour guide Jo picked me up from the hotel and the tour started, everything just kept gettting better. We went to Karekare falls, then took the trail at Mercer Bay Loop that offers a stunning view of the Tazman sea and finally given our own leisure time at Piha Beach. What was remarkable was seeing our Tour Guide JO taking an extra mile to take care of one the members in the tour group. An Argentinian guy named Sebastian was unfortunately on crutches. Jo demonstrated concern and concern for him by always asking how she could conveniently tailor the tour experience considering his status. She dropped 9 of us at Mercer Bay, drove Sebastian separately to Piha Beach ahead of us and then went back to Mercer Bay for us to guide us and give us educational information about it. I could feel that she was sincere and dedicated to her job. She has friendly, approachable, vibrant and positive personality. Her laughter is contagious too! Tours can be the same, you know, but tour guides like her make the difference.
