Learn to unleash your inner Viking!
Join us for our hour-long mixed group session where you'll be taught to throw an axe like a champion. Your session starts with a safety briefing and training from one of our amazing axeperts.
From there, you'll be thrown into a Viking style tournament, additional games, and an epic finals round to see who the ultimate Viking or Vi-queen is for the day. Every Wednesday through to Friday!
Or come in on Sunday for the legendary Sunday sessions! The Sunday sessions are an hour longer and this is when Sweet Axe brings out the full range of axes for you to try out, they will workshop your skills and put on mini tournaments, all for a bit of fun!
Hang around to have a drink and a snack in our games area once you're done with all the axe throwing fun! Bring your friends and join the fun, axe throwing really is for everyone.

Recommend for a friends outing
We had a great time at Sweet Axe. We were 2 couples that went together, and were teamed up with a third couple in our mixed group session. We all had very different abilities, and differing comfort levels, but the hosts ensured you received coaching and encouragement, and made the time there fun. Our group definitely wants to return again

Really disappointing
Didn't get the whole experience of the axe throwing for the price I paid as it was done as a group of 5 and we were a team of 2 and wasn't offered many chances when it came to axe throwing. Only one of the boards was open whereas the entire place could've been used. Wouldn't recommend anyone.

Kia ora Varshar, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We believe (and as you can see from how many fantastic reviews we get) that our sessions with more than 2 players actually enhances the fun! But we can appreciate that there may be some people out there who'd like an exclusive experience. We do have an option for a Private Lane hire but the option you selected was for a Mixed Group session. Our Mixed Group sessions are offered as an alternative to our other larger sessions to keep the fun more affordable for smaller groups. If you'd like to come back again we'd highly recommend booking in for our Private Lane Axe-perience to ensure you get as much axe throwing as you can "handle"!

Good fun for a novel experience
Great fun for something a bit different! Great instruction to help everyone achieve some successful throws. Shy had awesome vibes and energy which made the experience super enjoyable.

Axe throwing fun
If you want abit of stress relief, a must do. I can't recommend this activity enough. Great for all ages.
