Heading off early from Auckland we will beat the traffic and head off to Waitomo for your first activity of the day, Spellbound glowworm cave.
Here you will join a 90-minute tour of the cave taking in the mesmerizing sight of thousands of glowworms and interesting cave formations. This tour includes a cave walk and a boat ride inside the cave.
This is one of the only caves where photography is allowed so have your camera at the ready!
We will then make our way to "Middle Earth" where you will have time to purchase some lunch before you join your Hobbiton tour.
You will then be taken on a guided tour over the 12-acre movie set as seen in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. You will visit hobbit holes, the Mill, Bag-End - home to Bilbo Baggins and finish off with a complimentary drink at the famous Green Dragon Inn.
Once your tour is complete we will transport you back to your accommodation around 6 or 7 pm depending on the traffic.
This tour can start and end in either Auckland or Rotorua.
Our fleet of Mercedes vehicles are comfortable and clean and can transport between 6-15 passengers for an enjoyable small-group experience.
No need to worry about us cancelling your booking due to low numbers - we guarantee departure for one full priced customer or two discounted customers!

Luxurious journey to the middle earth
It was a perfect day. The vehicle was new and comfortable. We got picked up from our place by Fran. She is so knowledgeable and hilarious. We have been to the glow worms and Hobbiton many times in the last 4 years. But we never enjoyed the experience as much as yesterday. It was a total bliss. We would recommend joining a day tour for your self and family. It is so much fun.

The best experience ever!!!
The whole day was amazing. Ric our driver, was super helpful and incredibly friendly. The spellbound caves tour left us speechless and tearful. I really hadn't expected it to be this great. The Hobbiton tour was magical. The whole day was wonderful and one we will never forget.
