Welcome to the magical world of scuba diving at Goat Island Marine reserve. This half day Try Dive experience with Goat Island Dive & Snorkel is a safe and fun way to try scuba diving, guaranteed to leave you stoked and wanting more!
Your day begins at Goat Island Dive Centre in Leigh with a theory lesson covering how scuba equipment is put together and the basic skills of scuba diving. Next its into the water at Goat island Beach for your first breath under water, starting in the shallows before moving out from to beach to explore and meet the fish. Fully supervised by a PADI Dive Instructor.
Throughout the dive your instructor is on hand to make sure you are safe and comfortable while exploring this beautiful underwater world. The Goat Island Marine Reserve is teaming with fish life including Snapper, Blue Mao Mao, and Spiny-Crayfish, making it easily one of the most idyllic places for a first scuba experience in New Zealand.

- Professional Scuba tuition and training
- Fitting and hire of your dive equipment
- A Try Dive amongst the fish at Goat Island beach
- A PADI recognition wall certificate
Location:
Goat Island Dive Centre is located an hours drive north of Auckland City in Leigh.
Restrictions:
- To take part in this experience it is essential that you are able to swim to a medium level and feel confident in the sea (ideally you will have snorkeled before)
- Minimum age 12 years
- You need to be able to speak and understand English
- You must be medically fit to dive

Amazing value for the experience!
Cannot recommend this enough - for the money it's the best introduction to scuba we could've had. You won't get a cert from it, but it will provide you with everything you need, there's no hidden costs when you arrive and the staff are both professional and passionate. Would love to go further and complete the open water cert next! Thanks for an amazing experience all :-)

The try dive experience at Goat Island PADI was so great. People were so friendly and easygoing and we really had a fun time. Can totally recommend this place!!!

Great Experience
Very nice instructor. Went very well. Learned basic skills and enjoyed the experience. Definitely recommend it.
