Awesome day out!

We had a great day out at Tiritiri with Fullers. It was a bumpy ride, but nothing anyone can do about an easterly swell. Our ferry driver on the way home was amazing, and did his/her utmost to avoid some of the worst bumps. The day itself on Tiri exceeded all our expectations, only wish we had known about the little tractor that took the bags up to the visitors centre (I'm not sure if this runs every time the ferry goes?). Thank you to all the volunteers that make it such a great experience. We will be back!

TIRITIRI trip

It was a really cool experience. Took my wife and 2 kids along[aged 10 and 12]. There some complainng along the way..lol but over everyone had a good time. We walk to entirety of the island which was at times a bit difficult but well worth it. The views are stunning! We even managed to squeeze in a nice swim at Hobbs beach at the end of our walk to cool down.

Disgusted.

We never got to go. We'd prepaid and Fullers lost the contract and didn't tell us. Absolutely disgusting.

Tiritiri Matangi

The island experience was fantastic. However it did not start that well. Fullers have many different points of departure and the signage was woefully inadequate. We had to ask for directions from their ticket office. Having arrived at the requested location 45 minutes before departure (as stipulated in the booking confirmation) there was nothing going on. Just standing around on the footpath. Walked down the ramp to the water, to see if there was someone or some signage, only to be told that I couldn't be there by a Fullers employee who suddenly materialised. Was very unimpressed at this point. Spent about 40 minutes standing around until we were able to board. Once we actually got on board the day improved markedly. The island was beautiful and the guide we had extremely helpful. Saw and heard much birdlife and enjoyed the crystal clear waters. A definite must to visit!! The $100 from Activate Auckland was much appreciated also!
