Immerse yourself in a tropical butterfly house and Travel back in time when dinosaurs ruled and visit the Dinosaur Kingdom with over 40 dinosaurs, some even life-sized, roaring and moving, you'll be amazed! See mermaids, unicorns and dragons come alive in our newest exhibit: Mythic Creatures.
Visit Kiwi Forest and see NZ Brown Kiwi, Wetapunga and other native species, plus meet Scar and Goldie, NZ's only saltwater crocodiles. We have alligators, bugs, and a beautiful bird aviary. You can visit Buttermilk Farm for a hands-on experience. Sit down for some home-made food at the Butterfly Creek Cafe, or relax while your children play in the free playground or ride The Admiral Express Train.
We want to assure you that you will have a fun and safe visit and have implemented a range of measures to keep you safe. Our exhibit & movement spaces are spread over a large area of around 18,000 square meters, with around 1 km of pathways. You are not confined to large numbers of other visitors - everyone is spread out over the park to ensure safe social distancing.

We had a wonderful day at Butterfly Creek. Our grandson loved everything he seen. He was very excited and loved interacting with the animals and playground. Highly recommend as a family outing
Definitley worth a visit. I havent been for many years and took my grandson. It is an A+ attraction. Something for everyone, young and old

Shuttle was very handy. Even though there was just me she picked up with a smile and a great attitude. Then preceded to take me inside and sort me out at the ticket office! Also, the goats were so friendly and gentle

Kids loved it
Haven't been in a few years and there are new exhibits since last time, the children loved every the whole place.
