Ice skating Aotea square
Skates had a very bad smell and also the gloves, not very good hygiene.

average novelty experience
Ice was really carved up! We were there for over 2 and a half hours and the ice was never zambonied or made smoooth. Lots of unsupervised children skating the wrong way and there was a big puddle of water that staff were notified about where children kept falling over that they also did nothing about. Probable worth it for a 'novelty outing' but i would reccomend one of their other venues higher.

Awesome!
The kids loved the experience and went several times before the season was over. The workers were very helpful, changing shoe sizes when we found our first choice was not the best fit. Appreciated also that everyone on the rink was very considerate of others and helped out my little ones when they fell or needed some help getting around. All around, it was a very nice outing for the season and my kids who are from the tropics, been in NZ for less than a year, took to ice skating as if they've done it their whole lives. Thank you again for a great experience and we will be back next season.
