The tour commences with a drive along the scenic northern route, taking in spectacular views of the Hauraki Gulf and beyond to the Coromandel Peninsula. The first stop is for a tasting and casual lunch at a local vineyard. If time allows, after lunch head towards Onetangi, a 1.87-kilometre long, north-facing beach with beautiful old Pohutukawa trees on the foreshore. For many years it has been the site of the Onetangi Beach Races.
Depart Onetangi for a second vineyard for wine tasting. The final stop is at a picturesque vineyard overlooking the Hauraki Gulf. Enjoy a wine tasting here and take in the view.
If you wish, from here you can stay on for dinner (at your own expense) and make your own way back to the ferry when you are ready or alternatively the guide will return you to the Waiheke Wharf in time to catch the 6pm ferry back to Auckland.
Itinerary
- Pick up ex the 12pm Fullers ferry
- Enjoy a wine tasting followed by a platter lunch at Stonyridge Vineyard.
- Visit Onetangi Beach, a 1.87-kilometre long, north-facing beach with beautiful old Pohutukawa trees on the foreshore.
- Visit Batch Vineyard, the highest vineyard on Waiheke Island for a wine tasting.
- Visit Mudbrick Vineyardβs wine tasting room for a tasting, set amongst beautiful gardens with spectacular views looking across the Waitemata Harbour
- Choose to stay on for dinner at one of the Island's restaurants (bookings recommended) or return to Auckland on the 5pm Fullers ferry.

Highly Recommend!
We had a really good time thanks to Jenny! All the vineyards and wine tastings were lovely and unique, and the included platter lunch at Stoneyridge was delicious. The highlights were definitely the gorgeous views from every vineyard we went to. Jenny was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and incredibly accommodating by letting us start the tour earlier as we were the only ones on it. Highly recommend and for sure will tour with Ananda Tours next time! Thank you for a great afternoon!

Great afternoon!
We had an amazing time on this tour. Stew was the best guide and took such good care of us! The tour was well organised and you definitely get plenty of wine. The vineyards were so much fun and also had great customer service. We made friends with everyone on our tour and have kept in touch which was an added bonus! Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

Amazing experience
We had such an amazing wine and dine experience. Thank you π Especially for our first time. Nico our tour guide and driver was so knowledgeable and accommodating, made it so easy and fun for us. The place we visited were top notch and will definitely recommend. So enjoyable, wanting to do another one soon ππ½
