Muriwai Beach, just a 35 minute drive from Auckland City, boasts a beautifully windswept rugged coastline with volcanic black sand, making it a spectacular and popular surf beach.
The 100% kiwi owned and operated Muriwai Surf School is located just a 1 minute walk from the beach and surfing action.
Our 2 hour lessons are delivered by surf life guards, highly qualified coaches and some of the very best skilled surfers in the region.
What's more, the school has an impressive array of over 150 boards and 250 Ripcurl wetsuits for you to choose from and keep you warm no matter what the weather.
Muriwai Surf School specialises in giving tuition to beginners and will help you to feel at ease in the water. Their lessons include:
2 hours of tuition from the surfing pro's
Learning basic surfing techniques including board control, standing and catching waves
Teaching you ocean awareness and safety
Information sheets that you can take home to study and improve your skills
Complimentary high performance surfboards and wetsuits
A dedicated instructor with you in the water at all times

Super Surfschule
Wir waren so begeistert von unserem Surflehrer Cooper. Er war sehr herzlich und konnte uns viel beibringen! Trotz schlechtem Wetter und großen Wellen hat uns unser erster Surfversuch dank ihm wahnsinnig viel Spaß gemacht. DANKE

Super Erfahrung
Meine Freundin und ich haben an der Surfstunde teilgenommen, welche für uns unsere erste Surferfahrung war. Uns hat die Stunde super gefallen und die Instructor waren wirklich hilfreich und kompetent. Wir überlegen gleich nächste Woche nochmals eine Surfstunde zu buchen.

Mega Erfahrung!
Es hat unglaublich viel Spaß gemacht, die Wellen an dem Tag waren perfekt, der Strand ist super schön. Unser Surflehrer Dylan war richtig gut und auch geduldig. Ich werde das auf jeden Fall wieder machen und das empfehle ich auch allen Anderen:)
