Raft the legendary "Earthquake Rapids" - a classic New Zealand whitewater raft run though a stunning rain forest.

Judged TOP CHOICE Lonely Planet, 2012

Join us on a wild ride down the legendary Buller River Earthquake Rapids, the section with the most whitewater in the breath taking Buller Gorge.

Adventurers will experience plenty of white water action. Challenge yourself at the "swim" rapid and the optional 8 metre cliff jump.

First Rafting Trip? - No worries!! Your guides will give you full rafting safety instruction. Marty and Bruce are committed to making your river trip not only safe, but the best you'll experience.

Because the Buller River is a large volume wild river with no dams to regulate the flow, the rapid Grade 3 to 4 varies with rainfall. Ask us about the river flow when you book.

Wild Rivers Rafting, Ltd. is river-guide owned and operated. Top qualified guides Marty and Bruce have a combined 28+ years professional guiding on the mighty Buller River. Our rafting operation is audited and certified by Maritime New Zealand, and we are members of the New Zealand Rafting Association.

Tolles Erlebnis!

Die Tour hat super Spaß gemacht. Unser Guide hat uns auch zusätzlich noch viel erzählt und wir sind sogar 2 mal schwimmen gegangen. Es hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt!

Great morning on the river

We enjoyed our journey on the river very much and were very pleased that they decided to run a raft with just the 2 of us. Our guide (Andrea) was very thorough and explained the safety procedures. She also provided a lot of local information as well. All the equipment necessary was provided and was of good quality We enjoyed the rapids and floating in the river to cool off.
