Your memorable journey begins with a relaxing and scenic journey on board a water taxi which will take you deep into the heart of the Abel Tasman National Park.

Take to your kayak from the pristine horseshoe shaped bay of Onetahuti beach and head towards the Tonga Island marine reserve, the home of New Zealand fur Seals Kekeno.

Raft up the kayaks and hop into the crystal clear waters to swim with and get up close and person to the friendly and playful fur seals in their natural environment.

An unforgettable wildlife encounter, the seal swim is a must do whilst in New Zealand.


Duration: Half day

Location: Departing from Marahau, approx 19km's north of Motueka

Conditions: Minimum 14 years, under the age of 16 you need to be accompanied by an adult on a 1 to 1 ratio

Price: $230 per person

Lunch can be provided for an additional $15pp (to be added when you proceed to checkout) or alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own

Whats provided: A top quality sit on top double kayak, lifejacket, paddle, wet suits,

snorkel & mask, flippers and of course an awesome ATK guide.

amazing!!!

The trip itself is definitely worth it to get so up close to seals is something not to be missed for a New Zealand holiday. Abel Tasman is one of NZ most beautiful areas and the staff and guide really tied the whole thing together. A trip I would happily do again and again.
